The final nine have reached the final table at the 2009 WSOP main event and televised coverage begins this tuesday! Go Phil! The November nine WSOP finalists prepare for the ultimate poker showdown, the remaining players are Phil Ivey, age 33 from Las Vegas with $9,765,000, Darvin Moon, 45 from Oakland, MD with $58,930,000, Eric Buchman 29 from Hewlett, NY with $34,800,000 (A local player for me, good luck!) Steven Begleiter 47 from Chappaqua, NY with $29,885,000, Jeff Shulman 34 from Las Vegas with $19,580,00, Joseph Cada 21 from Shelby Township, MI with $13,215,000, Kevin Schafel 51 from Coral Springs, FL with $12,390,000, Antoine Saout 25 from St. Martin with $9,500,000, and James Akenhead 26 from London, England with $6,800,000 in tournament chips.
These are the finl nine players out of 6,494 tournament participants who will take their seats at the final table of the 2009 WSOP main event poker tournament. The winner will receive over $8.5 million when they claim the world champion distiction. The 2009 main event final table play begins November 7th and the winner will be announced on November 9th. The 2009 main event takes pace at the Penn and Teller Theater at the Rio in Las Vegas.
